Simple administration [ + ]

The software solution consists of a server component, located behind the company's firewall, and a client component on smartphones. The open architecture can be flexibly expanded and supports all available file types, storage media, and various e-mailing programs. Administrators benefit from simple management of driver mapping and complete integration of the Active Directory with regard to user rights.

Integration into the Corporate IT

• Server: In smaller environments the server component is installed directly on the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, in larger environments and when using Apple iPhone, Android™ devices and BlackBerry smartphone with BlackBerry Internet Service it is installed on a separate Windows server.

• E-mail systems: Cortado Corporate Server can be used with various e-mails systems: Microsoft® Exchange®, IBM Lotus® Notes® and Novell GroupWise®. Communication between the Cortado software and e-mail systems occurs over SMTP or MAPI for BlackBerry smartphones and via e-mail forward for iPhones and Android smartphones.
  
  
• User rights: Cortado Corporate Server uses Active Directory for accessing the file system without reassigning user rights. It is also possible to connect to a Novell eDirectory.
  
  
• Applications: The user's activities on the server are executed in user context mode, i.e. as if the user were working on a PC. This ensures a high level of compatibility to all associated applications, also taking into account the respective rights of the user, settings and license accounts. Compatibility to tracking systems, i.e., print cost control is ensured this way.
  
  
• Fax server & printers: The Windows fax service is used for faxing documents with no other fax server necessary. For printing, Cortado Corporate Server supports all Windows-compatible printers.
  
  
• Scalability: Cortado Corporate Server's open, flexible architecture can easily be expanded to support new devices, applications or more users while maintaining support for all available file formats.

• Secure file transfer and access: Files are sent highly compressed over a secure infrastructure. Access is secured by password.
  
  
• Reduced security risks: With Cortado, users can leave laptops behind and also avoid storing documents on the smartphone, significantly reducing the risk of loss and security breaches.
  
  
• Complete integration: Even when mobile, company user rights are assumed - with additional options to restrict the user rights of individuals or groups.
