What is new in version 1.5?
File encryption
With iOS 4, Apple has created the basis for saving encrypted data on the iPad or iPhone. The new Workplace version 1.5 for iOS is the first application that fully supports this encryption of local documents on the iPad or iPhone.
- On devices delivered with iOS 4, the user can enable encryption by activating the data protection feature. In this case, all files that are stored on the local drive of Cortado Workplace, are automatically encrypted.* Click here for more information: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4175
- For users of older iOS devices running with a 4.x update manual encryption* is available. To do so the user long taps on the file and then chooses the Encrypt option. A lock icon identifies a document as being encrypted.

Open In Cortado
With the Open In Cortado function you can easily use Workplace functions for files from other programs. Select the function, for example to print documents from Good Reader, Keynote or Pages with Workplace or for saving attachments from the e-mail application.

Easier Printer Selection
The print dialogue in split into three tabs making the selection of the required printer even easier:
- Local: Use this option for printing on Wi-Fi printers
- Corporate: This option allows printer control (for users of Corporate Server)
- Own: Here you can find printers you have already set up

Print out PDF documents from your Workplace account now also via AirPrint to your AirPrint enabled printer.

*Encryption is not possible for files that are copied to the Inbox folder on the local drive of the Workplace app (e.g., via Open In Cortado). Files that are copied from the Inbox to a different local drive are not automatically encrypted when the data protection feature is activated, but can be manually encrypted.
