Cortado Business Plus for BlackBerry

The mailbox package Cortado Business Plus can be used with the following devices:

• BlackBerry Enterprise devices
  Some providers offer BlackBerry devices specifically designed for prosumer or enterprise use. The Cortado Business Plus for BlackBerry mailbox package can only be used with enterprise devices.
  
  
• BlackBerry-enabled devices (BlackBerry Connect)
  BlackBerry Connect is a software that allows users of non-BlackBerry devices to use BlackBerry functions on their devices to synchronize e-mail, calendar, and contact data with push technology. BlackBerry Connect is available for a variety of devices and operating systems from leading manufacturers, such as for Nokia or Windows Mobile-based devices. A list of BlackBerry-enabled devices can be found on the BlackBerry Website.

Furthermore, activation of the BlackBerry service by your provider as well as a relevant data tarif are required.

Premium Services

The Cortado Premium Services can be used with BlackBerry handhelds with a firmware version 4.0.2 or higher.  Further more, ONE of the following two requirements must be met to be able to connect to the Cortado hosting center and to use the Cortado services:   

• You are connected to an own BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) in your company*, AND/ OR
• Your handheld supports the BlackBerry Internet Browsing Service (BIS-B). 

*For the BES to connect with the Cortado hosting center, the BES must be configured so that it can communicate outwardly via port 4001 and port 443. Please refer to your IT administrator.
