New app makes BlackBerry smartphones ready for take-off

With Cortado Flight Mode, we introduce a new tool which benefits BlackBerry smartphone users, in particular frequent flyers and business travelers. This new app makes it possible to prepare the BlackBerry smartphone for the flight with just one click.
Before Flight Mode closes down all wireless connections and turns off the smartphone, incomplete e-mail texts are downloaded from the mail server. Once the BlackBerry smartphone is turned on again after take-off, wireless connections remain disconnected but the user can now use the flight time more productively to read and respond to messages, even while offline.
Upon landing, all connections are just as easily reestablished.
Cortado Flight Mode is available for handsets running BlackBerry OS 4.3 or higher such as the BlackBerry® Curve™ series, BlackBerry® Storm™, BlackBerry® Storm 2™, BlackBerry® Bold™, BlackBerry® Bold 9700™ and BlackBerry Tour smartphones. (deleted ending)
