Cortado steps up to the bring your own device (BYOD) and consumerization challenges.
The number of employees who use their private smartphones, tablets, or Macs for business purposes continues to grow. This has IT managers facing the challenge of securely and easily integrating different devices, from different manufacturers, with completely different security and operating concepts into their IT environments.
To allow this, Cortado has developed an HTML5 client for virtually any web-enabled device, complementing its existing cloud desktop series of native iOS, Android, and BlackBerry clients. Thanks to Cortado Corporate Server, all device and operating systems in question can be securely integrated into the IT environment. Employees are therefore provided with the same convenient remote access to corporate resources from all their devices.
The HTML5 client leverages both the local resources and local licenses of each end-device. This approach allows Cortado Corporate Server to securely integrate even temporary, mobile or freelance employees into the corporate IT environment, without having to provide a full Windows desktop, including the associated, expensive licensing for each individual user.
In the backend, Cortado Corporate Server acts as a mobile device management system (MDM), delivering secure user profile and policy management.
More information and a fully functioning demo version of Cortado Corporate Server is available at: www.cortado.com/corporate.
