POP3 settings in Outlook Express


  1.   Open Outlook Express and select TOOLS > ACCOUNTS.
   

  2.   Select ADD > MAIL.
   


  3.   Enter your name as you would like it to appear in the "From" field of your outgoing messages.
   


  4.   Now, enter your Cortado e-mail address.
   


  5.   Choose "My incoming server is a POP3 server." and enter pop3.cortado.com as incoming mail server and smtp.cortado.com as outgoing mail server.
   


  6.   Enter your Cortado user (account) name as well as your Cortado password and mark the check box "Remember password".

IMPORTANT: You can find your Cortado user (account) name in the section "Personal data" after login at your Cortado account.

   


  7.   Now, click FINISH.
   


  8.   Your Cortado account "pop3.cortado.com" is now displayed in the INTERNET ACCOUNTS list. Mark it and then select PROPERTIES.
   


  9.   Go to the SERVERS tab and mark the check box "My server requires authentication".
   


 10.   Go to the CONNECTION tab and choose the appropriate type of connection.
   


 11.   Go to the ADVANCED tab and activate both check boxes on the left of "This server requires an encrypted SSL connection (SSL)" as well as the check bot on the left to "Leave a copy of messages on server". Finally, click OK to confirm your settings and to finish the setup process.
