Cortado Exchange Hosting:
Configuration for Nokia

Follow the steps below to enable your Nokia E-or N-Series handheld to receive e-mails by Direct Push based on Cortado Exchange Hosting (Cortado Standard, Cortado Business Plus). 

Before you start, the program MAIL FOR EXCHANGE needs to be installed on your device. You can download Mail for Exchange free of charge from the Nokia website.

  • First, load the installation file (.sis) onto your desktop computer. Then, transfer the file from your computer to your mobile phone using a USB cable, Bluetooth, infrared, or the Nokia PC suite.
  • Navigate to the .sis file on your phone and open it to install Mail for Exchange.

 1.   To start Mail for Exchange on your phone, select "MfE" in the main menu.
   


  2.   Open the MAIL FOR EXCHANGE icon.
   




3.   When you launch Mail for Exchange for the first time, you will be prompted to create a profile. Click YES.
   



 4.   A list of categories for profile settings appears. Select a category and enter the information below.

  Connection
  • Exchange Server: mobilemail.cortado.com
  • Secure connection: YES (Increases the security of a synchronization process by using a secure SSL connection to the server).
  • Access point: Enter the Internet access point your mobile phone will use to connect with the mail server. (For information about your access point, please contact your wireless carrier.)
   




6.
  Credentials
  • Username: Enter your Cortado "Customer no.", e.g. e12345 (the customer number can be found in the "Personal data" section of your Cortado administration account)
  • Password: Enter your Cortado password
  • Domain: cortado.com
   




7.
  Sync content
  •  Choose the data you want to synchronize.
   




  8.   Sync schedule
  • Peak sync schedule: ALWAYS ON
  • Off-peak sync schedule: ALWAYS ON
   




9.
   Calendar
  • Initial sync: Specify whether you want to keep the calendar entries on the mobile phone or delete those entries and replace them with the entries from your Cortado Exchange account when you do the first (initial) synchronization.
   


10.
  Tasks
  • Initial sync: Specify whether you want to keep the task entries on the mobile phone or delete those entries and replace them with the entries from your Cortado Exchange account when you do the first (initial) synchronization.
   


11.
  Contacts
  • Initial sync: Specify whether you want to keep the contact entries on the mobile phone or delete those entries and replace them with the entries from your Cortado Exchange account when you do the first (initial) synchronization.
   



12.   E-mail
  • E-mail address: Enter your Cortado email address.
   

That´s it! Your handheld is now ready for Direct Push Mail.
