Configuration for iPhone and iPod Touch

Using a Cortado account with real-time synchronization on your iPhone or iPod Touch requires the iPhone Software Version 2.0. Please update your iPod Touch or first generation iPhone before setting up your account - with iPhone 3G, the 2.0 firmware is already integrated.

Please note: Full Exchange functionality for simultaneous synchronization between your locally installed Outlook or Entourage and your iPhone or iPod Touch is only possible with a Cortado Business Plus account. Further information on how to configure Outlook or Entourage can be found here »

Of course, you can also use the mailbox packages Standard, Plus and Business to receive e-mails on your iPhone or iPod Touch in real time. Please note the comments in the configuration guide below.

Not yet a Cortado customer? Choose one of the Cortado Exchange Hosting mailbox packages and try Cortado 30 days for free.

1.		Select »SETTINGS« on your iPhone or iPod Touch home screen.

2.		Choose »MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDARS« from the SETTINGS menu, then choose »ADD ACCOUNT...«.

3.		Select »MICROSOFT EXCHANGE«.

4.		Enter Email, Username and Password as shown below. As your username please enter your customer no., e.g. x1234, and then your Cortado e-mail address and Password as well as a Description of your choice (e. g. Cortado). You can find your customer number under "Personal data" in your Cortado account administration. Click »NEXT«. Your Exchange account information will now be verified.

5.		Now enter the server address “mobilemail.cortado.com” under Server and click »NEXT«. Your account is now being verified.

In the following window you can now decide what information you want to have synchronized. With a Cortado Plus, Business or Business Plus account, you can leave the default settings.

If you are the owner of a Cortado Standard mailbox, you now have to set »CALENDAR« to »OFF«.

To complete your setup, click »SAVE«.

Finished! Your iPhone or iPod will now start synchronization of your e-mail, contacts and calendar. When selecting »MAIL« from the home screen, you will have access to all your e-mail folders and from »CONTACTS« and »CALENDAR« to your contacts and appointments – directly from your iPhone or iPod Touch.
