In an interview, Jens Gottschalk, a member of Unna’s city <\/span><\/span>administration’s IT department, shares his insights into the use of Cortado MDM\u00a0<\/span><\/span>by municipal administrations.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

More and more municipal administrations use mobile device management (MDM) systems to enable their employees to work efficiently and securely on mobile devices.<\/p>\n

By leveraging smartphones and tablets in combination with the right apps, workflows are streamlined and accelerated.<\/p>\n

For GDPR-compliant management of devices and app distribution, an MDM system is essential. It is the only way to prevent shadow IT and ensure compliance with data protection and security regulations.<\/p>\n

The City of Unna in Germany Has Been Embracing Digitalization for a While<\/h3>\n

For several years now, Unna’s city administration has been using Cortado Mobile Device Management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The journey began with the digitalization of the city council, the mayor, and his administrative board. Gradually, other departments followed suit, from property management to the fire department.<\/p>\n

Jens Gottschalk, who leads the implementation of the MDM system for Unna city, shares his experiences in this video interview.<\/p>\n

He discusses the decision-making process for selecting an MDM system for the city administration, the initial steps taken, and even the minor hurdles encountered along the way.<\/p>\n

Additionally, he explains which devices and apps are currently in use, how employees were easily onboarded, and what further steps are planned.<\/p>\n

MDM for City and Municipal Administrations<\/h3>\n
