The Music and Art School (MKS) is a public cultural institution of the city of B\u00f6blingen. It currently offers musical and artistic education to around 2,100 students. The approximately 60 pedagogical specialists of the educational institution work in all four areas (dance, theater, music, art) with great commitment in order to strengthen and develop the personality of every single student.<\/p>\n

To support the educational work, the Music and Art School equipped the teachers with iPads some time ago. To manage the devices and distribute apps, the school used a mobile device management system. But Rainer Kropf, Head of the Music and Art School in B\u00f6blingen, was very quickly dissatisfied with the solution, actually one of the market-leading MDM applications. \u201cThe user interface was confusing and the communication between the MDM and the end devices often didn\u2019t work,\u201d said Rainer Kropf.<\/p>\n

He came across Cortado MDM<\/a> while researching on the Internet. Rainer Kropf: \u201cCortado MDM has the most user-friendly interface and functionality that I have ever seen in this application area.\u201d<\/p>\n

The music school switched to Cortado MDM in summer 2020. The iPads are used as digital aids in class, but also for administrative purposes, such as the schedule of classes. Various applications, primarily from the musical field, are used as apps on the devices. These include MKS\u2019s own app, a metronome, a slow downer, tuners, loops, pitcher, GarageBand and iMovie. Outside of work, the teachers can also use the devices privately. Rainer Kropf has listed apps that may not be used on a blacklist.<\/p>\n

He is happy that he has scrapped his old MDM system and replaced it with Cortado MDM. \u201cWith the prompt German-language support from Cortado, I can recommend this solution to any educational institution. Mobile device management can be implemented at any school even without extensive IT knowledge.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition to Cortado MDM, another solution from Cortado Mobile Solutions was also able to win them over with its user-friendliness: Teamplace<\/a>, an online storage solution for teams. Rainer Kropf: \u201cWe use Teamplace for GDPR-compliant file exchange and are very satisfied with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
