An Apple Push Certificate is required to manage Apple devices with Mobile Device Management (MDM). This certificate is only issued by Apple for one year at a time and must therefore be renewed regularly. If it expires, the devices lose their connection to the server and must be re-registered.
In the Cortado administration portal, you can view the current validity period of your certificate at any time in the settings.

With the latest version of Cortado MDM, you will also receive an automatic notification 30 days before expiration.

This gives you enough time to renew your certificate in good time. Make sure to renew the existing certificate and not to create a new one. This is the only way to avoid having to re-register your devices.
We explain how the renewal works step by step in our help article How to renew your Apple Push Certificate.
