Our new Cortado Administration Portal is continuously evolving. With the latest update, administrators now have access to additional features that make device management even more efficient and flexible.
Some of these features are already familiar from the previous administration portal and are now also available in the new interface. In addition, a completely new option provides even greater customization and control.
Apple TV Support
Apple TV is now also supported in the new administration portal. In particular, device management is now possible here.
Factory Reset
Devices can now be reset to factory settings directly from the new administration portal.
This feature is especially important in cases of device loss, replacement, or employee offboarding. Administrators can respond quickly and ensure that company data is reliably removed—without requiring physical access to the device.
Flexible Device Naming – Including Variables
Device names can now be changed directly within the new adminitration portal.
Variables can be used to implement standardized and automated naming conventions, for example based on user information or device attributes.
This significantly simplifies the management of large device fleets and ensures a clear, consistent structure across the IT environment.
Assign Devices to Local Groups
Another important feature: Devices can now be assigned to local groups directly in the new adminitsration portal.
This allows administrators to manage policies, configurations, and settings more precisely. Group assignments enable structured organization—for example by department, location, or usage scenario.
Optional Deactivation of Welcome Emails for Entra ID
A completely new feature is the ability to disable the automatic welcome email when using Entra ID, if required.
Organizations that use their own onboarding processes or individual communication strategies gain greater flexibility as a result. User communication can now be better aligned with internal workflows and corporate communication guidelines.
Continuous Development
With these enhancements, the new Cortado Administration Portal continues to grow into a powerful, modern platform for professional device management.
Proven, existing features are being gradually integrated and complemented by new functionalities that provide additional flexibility and control.
