How can I print in a private WiFi network?
To print using WiFi in your private wireless network at home, you will need a wireless router that supports the connection of a printer. Please consult the documentation and specifications of your wireless home router.
Once your printer is connected to your wireless router, make sure your smartphone is connected to your home WiFi network as well. Using Cortado Workplace you can now print directly via WiFi and without turning on your computer.
With some smartphones (e.g. BlackBerry), Cortado Workplace requires the IP address of your printer to access it. Other smartphones such as Android phones or the iPhone will detect your printer automatically.
If an iPhone is used with Apple Airport Express or Airport Extreme, the printer will be directly shown, without any further configuration.
If you need the IP address of your printer, just use the IP address of your wireless router which you might already use to administer and configure your wireless router via an Internet browser. Please refer to your router's documentation for further information. Most routers use the IP address 192.168.1.1
Alternatively, you might be able to just enter your router's name to print. Some routers offer using a name as IP address. Please consult your router's manual for further information.

What do I need to know when printing via Bluetooth (especially with Android devices)?
Before you can print via Bluetooth, Bluetooth must be enabled on your device. If you selected Bluetooth as a print option and Bluetooth is not yet enabled on your device, you will receive a system message asking whether you want to enable Bluetooth. Agree to this message. Then you will see the available Bluetooth printers. Should the selected printer not be paired, you will receive a further system message in which you are required to enter the Bluetooth PIN for your printer.
Please note that on some Android devices, these system messages appear only in the message tab at the top of the screen, identifiable by a small icon.

What can I do if I'm unable to find my printer?
Cortado Workplace comes with support for a couple of thousands of printers. Should you still be unable to find the printer you want to print to, you can try the following:
- If your printer manufacturer was not listed on the very first printer type list, select "Show More" to load the complete list of supported printers.
- If you selected your printer manufacturer from the very first printer type list and couldn't find your specific model, please also select "Show More", select your manufacturer and check for your specific model again.
- If the 1st and 2nd steps didn’t produce a result, select "Standard printer drivers" from the Printer type list and then select a printer type that best represents the printer you want to print to, e. g. B/W Laser Printer. Also, we would like to ask you to report your printer so we can check the respective driver and try to provide it in a future release. I keep getting an error when trying to copy or upload a file to Cortado Workplace. What are the steps to troubleshoot?
If you are unable to copy or upload a certain file, this can have one of two reasons:
- File size: Cortado Workplace has an upload limit of 3 MB. If your file is larger than 3 MB, you will not be able to upload or copy the file to your Cortado Workplace storage.
- File type: The file you want to upload is of a type that is not allowed by Cortado Workplace. Audio and video files (e.g. .mp3, .wma, .avi, .mpg), but also executable files (e.g. .exe, .bat) cannot be copied or uploaded to your Cortado Workplace storage.
