Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment Support

As already mentioned in our blog, the Cortado app now supports Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment for fully managed devices. This means that in addition to Apple Business Manager and Android Zero Touch, you can take advantage of the Knox portal for the secure and automated mass deployment of company-owned devices.

Schedule OTA System Updates

Making new updates for mobile operating systems available and managing them plays an important role in ensuring that end users experience fewer issues with their devices. If an OS update is downloaded immediately after release, unexpected errors can occur shortly thereafter in most cases. In addition to the same feature for iOS that we already support, you can now delay or force the installation of the latest operating system updates for fully managed devices - exactly as you wish.

Independent Deployment of Apps

Uploading an app to a public app store, such as Google Play, can be a surprisingly complex process. With Cortado MDM, you now have the option to self-host your apps for corporate devices, bypassing the standard requirements of the Managed Google Play Store, such as file size or the review process.

App Allowlists and Blocklists

Depending on your use case and security requirements, you may want to create a blocklist for certain applications - as you may have already read on our blog, many popular applications can pose a security risk to your company. With Cortado MDM, you can now define a list of allowed and blocked apps on Android devices to control app installations granularly.

Customizing Wallpapers on Android Devices

The ability to change the wallpaper on devices isn't just about allowing users to upload pictures of family members or their latest vacation photos - although that is certainly nice. For some organizations, this feature is important, for example, if they want to display corporate branding on kiosk devices. With Cortado MDM, customizing wallpapers is now extremely easy to implement for all fully managed devices.

Dedicated Devices / Kiosk Mode for Android

Staying with the topic of kiosk mode: this feature is now fully supported for fully managed devices. With Cortado MDM, implementing various kiosk scenarios is now simple and effective. We have several posts on this topic: Learn more here about Kiosk mode and its many possible applications.

Configuration of the Sync Interval

With this new feature, you can manage the sync interval on Android devices. This allows the use of Android devices without the need for push notifications via Google systems (Firebase Cloud Messaging).

Integration of Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) Certificate Creation

After a series of improvements to Android device management, here is an update for the iOS device fleet. A new integration allows you to create and renew the APNS certificate directly from the Cortado management console using a separate Cortado ID.
