Automatic iOS App Updates
We are always working hard to minimize the device management effort for you. Cortado MDM can now update apps automatically to save you time.
Cortado MDM can now automatically update iOS apps on fully managed devices.
With the latest update to Cortado MDM, iOS apps on devices running in supervised mode can now be updated automatically. This makes managing your devices even easier!
How it Works:
Cortado MDM checks for app updates once a day and automatically deploys them to all compatible devices if available.
For this to work smoothly, the apps must be managed via Apple Business Manager and imported into Cortado MDM.
For apps that have already been imported, administrators can enable automatic updates in the app properties by checking the box "Install updates automatically (supervised)".
If you want the update function to apply automatically to all new apps added from Apple Business Manager, administrators can activate the corresponding checkbox under VPP Accounts.
This feature is already functional for all mandatory applications on Android devices, provided that any new permission changes for applications are approved by the administrator.
Additional Enhancements
Alongside this new feature, the latest Cortado MDM update also includes several fixes for recently reported bugs. Furthermore, we have added several security updates, performance improvements, and maintenance updates.
The new features are available to all customers automatically, effective immediately.
